Overview

Asimommy is a standardized herbal galactagogue developed by researchers at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia and produced by PT Swayasa Prakarsa. It is a combination product formulated as a capsule containing extracts of *Sauropus androgynus* (Katuk) leaves, *Moringa oleifera* (Kelor) leaves, and *Channa striata* (Snakehead fish). The supplement is designed to enhance breast milk production and improve the nutritional quality of milk in postpartum mothers. *Sauropus androgynus* and *Moringa oleifera* are traditionally recognized for their lactogenic properties, potentially acting through the stimulation of prolactin and oxytocin pathways. The inclusion of *Channa striata* provides high-quality protein and albumin, which aids in maternal postpartum recovery and wound healing. Asimommy has been evaluated in clinical trials to compare its efficacy against pharmacological galactagogues like domperidone.
