Overview

**ASITI-201** is an investigational, subcutaneously administered liposomal antigen-specific immunotherapy for stage 3 type 1 diabetes mellitus. It co-encapsulates a proinsulin peptide with calcitriol, aiming to deliver both agents to lymph-node dendritic cells, inhibit dendritic-cell NF-κB activity, and promote antigen-specific immune tolerance rather than broad immunosuppression. The intended effect is to reduce autoreactive immune attack on insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells and preserve residual beta-cell function. ASITI-201 is being evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1 single- and multiple-dose escalation study.
