Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASK0712v is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Jiangsu Aosaikang Pharmaceutical for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS). The drug targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), a signaling protein that, while promoting angiogenesis, also increases vascular permeability and contributes to blood-brain barrier (BBB) breakdown during the acute phase of a stroke. By neutralizing VEGF-A, ASK0712v aims to stabilize the BBB, reduce cerebral edema, and limit secondary neuronal damage, thereby improving functional recovery in patients. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials.
