Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASN-002 + vismodegib is an investigational **combination therapy** of ASN-002 (a potent, oral, dual Janus kinase [JAK] and spleen tyrosine kinase [SYK] inhibitor) and vismodegib (a small molecule inhibitor of the hedgehog signaling pathway, targeting the smoothened homologue [SMO]). ASN-002 inhibits JAK and SYK to modulate immune and inflammatory signaling, as well as cell survival, and has been explored in diseases such as atopic dermatitis, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and other malignancies[1][3][5]. Vismodegib is approved for locally advanced or metastatic basal cell carcinoma and acts by blocking the hedgehog pathway via SMO inhibition, reducing aberrant cell proliferation[2][4][6]. This combination would target both oncogenic signaling (hedgehog pathway) and immune/inflammatory pathways relevant to cancer and inflammatory disease.
