ASP1235 is a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It specifically targets Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3), a receptor that is widely expressed on leukemic blasts in AML patients. By binding to FLT3-positive leukemia cells, ASP1235 delivers a cytotoxic payload directly to these malignant cells. Preclinical studies have shown that while ASP1235 monotherapy has only mild anti-tumor effects, its efficacy is significantly enhanced when combined with venetoclax and azacitidine—standard-of-care agents for elderly AML patients. The combination therapy demonstrated superior anti-tumor activity in both *in vitro* and xenograft models compared to monotherapy or dual combinations[1][2][4]. The drug is administered intravenously and remains under clinical investigation.
