Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASP1893 is an investigational bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Astellas Pharma for the treatment of advanced or metastatic CLDN6-positive solid tumors, including ovarian cancer, testicular cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, endometrial cancer, adenocarcinoma, and other carcinomas. Its mechanism of action involves targeting Claudin 6 (CLDN6), a tight junction protein aberrantly expressed in certain cancers. ASP1893 is designed as a bispecific antibody that binds to CLDN6 and an undisclosed second target—potentially engaging immune effector mechanisms such as T-cell activation or co-stimulation. The drug entered Phase 1 clinical trials but the trial was withdrawn prior to enrollment. No approved indications or commercial brand names exist for this agent.
