ASP2138

ASP2138 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody designed to target both Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a protein commonly expressed on certain gastrointestinal tumors, and the CD3 complex on T cells. By binding to CLDN18.2 on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells, ASP2138 acts as a T-cell engager, redirecting the immune system to attack and destroy cancer cells expressing CLDN18.2. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of gastric (stomach) cancer, gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancer, and pancreatic cancer with CLDN18.2 expression[1][2][3][5]. The drug is currently in early-phase clinical trials as monotherapy or in combination with standard chemotherapies[4][6].
