Overview

ASP2390 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and other advanced solid tumors with ALK alterations. Developed through a long-standing collaboration between Astellas Pharma and Kotobuki Pharmaceutical, ASP2390 is designed to selectively target the ALK tyrosine kinase, which is often constitutively activated via gene rearrangements in certain cancers. By inhibiting ALK signaling, the drug aims to suppress tumor growth and potentially overcome resistance mechanisms observed with earlier-generation ALK inhibitors. Clinical evaluation is ongoing to establish its safety profile, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity.
