Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aspergillosis vaccine candidate (also known as VesiVax Af3/9) is a liposomal subunit vaccine candidate being developed by Molecular Express for the prevention of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. The vaccine utilizes the proprietary VesiVax® liposomal antigen and adjuvant delivery platform to present two recombinant Aspergillus fumigatus surface antigens, Asp f 3 (peroxiredoxin) and Asp f 9 (extracellular cell wall glucanase Crf1). Formulated with adjuvants such as lipidated tucaresol, monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL), and PAM-3-CAG, the vaccine is designed to elicit robust CD4+ T-cell and humoral immune responses to protect immunocompromised individuals against Aspergillus infections, including azole-resistant strains.
