Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Asset 3 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of ERK1 and ERK2, currently under development by Gen1E Lifesciences for immuno-oncology indications. As a dual inhibitor of the extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2, it targets the terminal node of the Ras-Raf-MEK-ERK (MAPK) signaling pathway. This pathway is a critical regulator of cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, and is frequently hyperactivated in various malignancies. By inhibiting ERK1/2, Asset 3 aims to directly suppress tumor growth and potentially modulate the immune response within the tumor microenvironment to enhance anti-cancer activity.
