Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AST-006 is a small molecule-drug conjugate (SMDC) developed by Ascentawits Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of BRCA-mutated malignant neoplasms, specifically targeting breast and ovarian cancers. The drug is built upon a proprietary platform that conjugates a small-molecule targeting fragment to a cytotoxic chemotherapy payload. This design is intended to leverage the tumor microenvironment to selectively deliver the payload to tumor cells, thereby increasing local efficacy while reducing systemic toxicity. AST-006 has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval and is currently in Phase I clinical development.
