AST-726

AST-726 is an intranasal spray formulation of hydroxocobalamin acetate, developed as a treatment for vitamin B12 deficiency. It is designed as an isotonic aqueous solution with preservatives and intended to provide a convenient, non-injectable alternative to traditional intramuscular vitamin B12 injections. The drug has demonstrated pharmacokinetic equivalence to the standard injectable form of hydroxocobalamin, supporting its use for both maintenance (once-monthly dosing) and restoration (more frequent dosing) of normal vitamin B12 levels in deficient patients.
