Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AST-Fp-13 is a novel, species-specific parasiticide (Parabulin) being developed by ASTRA Therapeutics for the treatment of protozoan infections in farm animals, such as coccidiosis. Generated using the company's proprietary ParaX platform, AST-Fp-13 is designed to selectively target and disrupt parasite tubulin (microtubules), thereby inhibiting cell division in the parasite while sparing the host animal. The drug is currently in the Proof of Concept (PoC) stage of development.
