Overview

Astymin is a parenteral amino acid infusion solution developed by Tablets India Limited in technical collaboration with Ajinomoto Pharma Co. Ltd. Japan. It is a small molecule nutritional formulation composed of pure crystalline essential amino acids, including L-arginine, L-histidine, L-isoleucine, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-methionine, L-phenylalanine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan, and L-valine, along with glycine and sorbitol. Administered intravenously, it provides essential building blocks for protein synthesis and metabolic processes in patients who cannot tolerate oral nutrition. It is used to correct negative nitrogen balance, support immunity, and aid recovery in clinical conditions such as pre- and post-operative care and other states requiring amino acid supplementation.
