AT-004

AT-004 is a preclinical monoclonal antibody developed by Adept Biopharmaceutical that targets the Adenosine A2A Receptor (A2AR). In the tumor microenvironment, high concentrations of adenosine act as a potent immunosuppressive signal by binding to A2AR on the surface of immune cells, such as T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, thereby inhibiting their anti-tumor activity. AT-004 is designed to block this interaction, potentially reversing adenosine-mediated immunosuppression and enhancing the efficacy of the immune system against malignant cells. The drug is specifically being developed for the treatment of solid tumors that have become refractory or resistant to standard checkpoint inhibitors, including those targeting PD-1, PD-L1, and CTLA-4.
