AT-014

AT-014 is a veterinary immunotherapy developed for the treatment of osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in dogs. It is a live attenuated Listeria monocytogenes-based vaccine engineered to express a tumor-associated antigen (HER2/neu), designed to stimulate the dog's immune system—specifically cytotoxic T-cells—to target and destroy residual cancer cells after standard treatments such as amputation and chemotherapy. The vaccine leverages the ability of Listeria vectors to activate strong cellular immune responses against tumor antigens. Developed by Aratana Therapeutics in collaboration with Advaxis, AT-014 received conditional licensure from the USDA Center for Veterinary Biologics following successful clinical trials that demonstrated its potential to prolong survival time in dogs with osteosarcoma[2][3][4]. The product was made available at select veterinary oncology centers but is no longer available as of December 2020[4].
