Overview

AT-1513 is an investigational nanoparticle-based therapy developed by Ahead Therapeutics for the treatment of Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO). The drug utilizes a proprietary platform for in vivo immune reprogramming, employing tolerogenic nanoparticles to induce antigen-specific immune tolerance. By mimicking the natural process of apoptotic cell clearance, these nanoparticles aim to restore immune balance and prevent the autoimmune attack on the central nervous system characteristic of NMO, without the need for broad systemic immunosuppression.
