AT-H201

AT-H201 is an inhaled therapeutic candidate developed by Atossa Therapeutics for the treatment of moderate to severe COVID-19. It is a proprietary combination of two FDA-approved drugs: the corticosteroid dexamethasone and the aminoglycoside antibiotic gentamicin. The therapy is designed to be delivered via nebulization to improve lung function and reduce the duration of mechanical ventilation in hospitalized patients. By combining an anti-inflammatory agent with an antibacterial agent, AT-H201 aims to mitigate pulmonary inflammation and prevent or treat secondary bacterial infections in the lungs. Although clinical trials were planned under the COVID-19 HOPE program, development was eventually deprioritized as the company shifted its focus toward its oncology pipeline.
