AT801

AT801 is a mouse monoclonal antibody of the IgG class that specifically targets an epitope of CD138 (Syndecan-1) located in close proximity to the cell membrane. Developed for the treatment of multiple myeloma, AT801 serves as a targeting moiety for a chitosan nanobubble (CS-NB) platform. These nanobubbles can be loaded with chemotherapeutic agents to increase their delivery to tumor sites. Beyond direct targeting, the AT801-conjugated nanoplatform has demonstrated the ability to modulate the tumor microenvironment by promoting the repolarization of M2-like macrophages toward a pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype, thereby potentially reverting tumor-induced immunosuppression. Preclinical data shows high specificity for human CD138 and significant tumor accumulation in xenograft models.
