Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AT_2023 is an investigational nanoparticle-based therapeutic candidate developed by Ahead Therapeutics for the treatment of Immune Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (iTTP). The drug utilizes a proprietary tolerogenic nanoparticle platform designed for *in vivo* immune reprogramming. By mimicking the natural process of apoptotic cell clearance, these nanoparticles deliver specific autoantigens—specifically ADAMTS13—to the liver's antigen-presenting cells. This process is intended to induce the generation of antigen-specific regulatory T cells (Tregs) that suppress the pathogenic autoimmune attack on the ADAMTS13 enzyme. By restoring immune tolerance, AT_2023 aims to maintain normal ADAMTS13 activity and prevent the formation of microthrombi characteristic of iTTP.
