ATC-002

ATC-002 is an investigational topical therapy developed by Atticus Pharma for the treatment of androgenic alopecia (hair loss). It consists of Y200, a small molecule mitochondrial activator derived from a Southeast Asian tree extract, encapsulated within Atticus's proprietary Z-pod® sustained-release delivery system. Z-pods are engineered silica particles that create a drug depot in the hair follicle and stratum corneum, allowing for the continuous release of the active ingredient. The drug is designed for twice-daily topical application to stimulate hair follicle activity and promote new hair growth. Clinical results from a 180-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study demonstrated significant increases in terminal hair density, particularly at higher doses.
