Overview

Atebimetinib is a novel, oral, once-daily investigational small molecule drug developed as a **Deep Cyclic Inhibitor** of **MEK** (Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase), designed to provide durable and well-tolerated inhibition of the MAPK pathway in cancer. Its selectivity and cyclic inhibition aim to target cancer cell proliferation while minimizing effects on healthy cells and improving efficacy against resistant tumors. Atebimetinib is being investigated primarily for its antineoplastic effect in first-line treatment of **pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC)** in combination with chemotherapy, but also in advanced solid tumor types such as KRAS-G12C mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including in combination with other targeted therapies[1][2][4][5][7][8].
