Overview

This drug is a combination therapy consisting of three agents for cancer treatment: atezolizumab (an immune checkpoint inhibitor), bevacizumab (a vascular endothelial growth factor [VEGF] inhibitor), and camonsertib (an ATR inhibitor, a small molecule targeting DNA repair mechanisms). - **Atezolizumab** is a humanized monoclonal antibody that inhibits PD-L1, thereby unleashing the immune system against tumor cells. - **Bevacizumab** is a monoclonal antibody that binds VEGF-A, inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor vascularization. - **Camonsertib** is a small molecule inhibitor of ataxia-telangiectasia and Rad3-related kinase (ATR), which impairs DNA damage response in cancer cells and may sensitize them to immunotherapy and anti-angiogenic therapy. This triple combination is under investigation for multiple solid tumors, with clinical trials focusing on advanced or metastatic malignancies, especially those with dysfunctional DNA repair pathways[8][10].
