A combination therapy consisting of atezolizumab (an immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-L1), capecitabine (a chemotherapeutic agent), and ipatasertib (an AKT inhibitor). This triplet regimen has been investigated primarily for the treatment of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC). The combination aims to simultaneously target multiple pathways involved in cancer progression: immune evasion via PD-L1 blockade, cellular proliferation via cytotoxic effects, and the AKT signaling pathway which is often dysregulated in TNBC.
