Atezolizumab + carboplatin + etoposide is a combination regimen used as first-line treatment for adults with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). Atezolizumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets the Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) pathway, enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and destroy cancer cells. Carboplatin and etoposide are cytotoxic chemotherapy agents that slow the growth of and kill cancer cells.
