Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Atezolizumab + cisplatin + pemetrexed** is a combination regimen of three anti-cancer agents: atezolizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1); cisplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis; and pemetrexed, an antifolate antineoplastic agent that inhibits thymidylate synthase and other folate-dependent enzymes required for DNA synthesis. This combination is under investigation as a neoadjuvant or first-line treatment for certain malignancies, including resectable pleural mesothelioma and advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Clinical studies support its safety and efficacy profile, as well as its mechanism in enhancing anti-tumor immunity and cytotoxic chemotherapy effects[1][2][4].
