Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Atezolizumab + ipatasertib + nab-paclitaxel is a combination regimen under investigation for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Atezolizumab is a monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-L1, enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Ipatasertib is an oral small molecule inhibitor of AKT, a key kinase in the PI3K/AKT pathway involved in tumor cell survival and proliferation. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel, a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent that inhibits cell division. The triplet aims to combine immunotherapy with targeted therapy and cytotoxic chemotherapy to improve outcomes in TNBC patients[1][2][5][6].
