Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Atezolizumab + ipilimumab is an investigational drug combination of two immune checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibodies: atezolizumab, an anti–PD-L1 antibody, and ipilimumab, an anti–CTLA-4 antibody. Both agents work by potentiating T-cell mediated immune responses against cancer cells, but via different immune checkpoints—inhibiting PD-L1 and CTLA-4 respectively. This combination is being explored to enhance antitumor immune activity beyond what is achieved with either agent alone. Trials have focused on advanced solid tumors, including renal cell carcinoma and melanoma[4][1].
