Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of atezolizumab, a PD-L1 inhibitor, and navoximod, an orally available small molecule inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1). This combination targets two complementary immune pathways: atezolizumab blocks PD-L1, preventing it from binding to PD-1 receptors on T cells, while navoximod inhibits IDO1, an enzyme that depletes tryptophan and produces kynurenine in the tumor microenvironment, which suppresses T cell function.
