Overview

ATG-037 is an orally available small molecule inhibitor of CD73 (ecto-5'-nucleotidase), developed for the treatment of cancer. By binding to and inhibiting CD73, ATG-037 prevents the conversion of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to adenosine in the tumor microenvironment. This action reduces immunosuppressive adenosine levels, potentially reversing immune suppression and enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. The drug is being developed by Antengene and was originally discovered by Calithera Biosciences. It is currently in Phase I/II clinical trials for solid tumors and Phase I trials for hematological malignancies[1][2][3][4][8].
