ATG-PCV13

ATG-PCV13 is a 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) developed by Fosun Adgenvax Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (initially developed by Chengdu Antejin Biotechnology). It is designed to prevent invasive pneumococcal disease, including pneumonia, meningitis, and bacteremia, caused by 13 specific serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae in infants. The vaccine works by inducing an immune response against the capsular polysaccharides of these serotypes, which are conjugated to a carrier protein to enhance immunogenicity in young children. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials, where it is being compared to the established vaccine Prevenar 13 for safety and immunogenicity in infants aged 2 to 3 months.
