Overview

ATG002 is a small molecule drug that acts as an agonist of muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). It was initially developed by CoMentis for the treatment of chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers. The mechanism of action involves stimulation of angiogenesis through activation of muscle-type nAChRs, which may promote wound healing. The drug reached Phase 1/2 clinical trials but its development has been discontinued[1][4].
