ATGC-300

ATGC-300 is a novel recombinant fusion protein drug candidate being developed by the South Korean biopharmaceutical company ATGC Co., Ltd. for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The molecule is a hybrid IgG fusion protein that incorporates a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) analog. By fusing the GLP-1 analog with a proprietary hybrid IgG platform, the drug is designed to achieve extended long-acting activity and enhanced therapeutic efficacy compared to standard GLP-1 therapies. It functions by activating the GLP-1 receptor to regulate blood glucose levels. ATGC-300 was presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) 2023 conference and is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
