Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ATHRICINE is an advanced nanoparticle-based therapeutic candidate developed by FluoTech Biosciences for the treatment of atherosclerosis and broader cardiovascular diseases. It is built upon the proprietary FTB-728 platform, which utilizes metal-organic framework (MOF) nanoparticles characterized by an exceptionally high drug-loading capacity of up to 77.5%. The therapy is designed for targeted delivery to atherosclerotic lesions, where it facilitates controlled release of its payload to reduce plaque buildup and mitigate vascular inflammation. As of early 2024, the specific active ingredient and molecular targets remain undisclosed, though the project has received support from the HKTECH300 program.
