ATI-2173 + vebicorvir

ATI-2173 + vebicorvir is an investigational oral combination therapy under clinical evaluation for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. ATI-2173 is a liver-targeted prodrug of clevudine monophosphate and acts as a non-chain-terminating inhibitor of HBV polymerase, providing prolonged suppression of HBV replication. Vebicorvir (ABI-H0731) is a novel small molecule core protein inhibitor that targets the HBV core protein, interfering with multiple phases of the HBV life cycle, including capsid assembly and pregenomic RNA encapsidation. The combination is intended to be part of a curative regimen for chronic HBV infection, aiming for more effective viral suppression and functional cure than current therapies. Clinical studies have also evaluated this regimen with the addition of tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Both agents are investigational and have not received marketing approval for any indication[1][5][9].
