Atigotatug (BMS-986012) is a first-in-class, fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed by Bristol Myers Squibb for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC). It specifically binds to fucosyl-GM1, a ganglioside that is highly expressed on SCLC tumor cells but has limited expression in normal tissues. The drug works primarily through antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) mechanisms. It is being investigated both as a monotherapy and in combination with nivolumab (Opdivo). The drug is administered intravenously and has shown a manageable safety profile in clinical trials conducted to date.
