ATIR201

ATIR201 is an investigational, donor T‑cell–based allodepleted immunotherapy being developed by Kiadis Pharma as an adjunct to haploidentical allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for inherited blood disorders, initially beta‑thalassemia major.[1][7][9][11][14][16] It consists of donor lymphocytes from a healthy, haploidentical stem‑cell donor that are ex vivo processed using Kiadis’s photodepletion technology to eliminate T cells predicted to cause severe graft‑versus‑host disease (GVHD), while sparing beneficial T cells that support immune reconstitution and graft‑versus‑disease activity.[1][7][11] Administered as a post‑transplant cell infusion, ATIR201 is intended to provide functional, mature immune cells to bridge the period of immune vulnerability after HSCT, improving outcomes in patients with beta‑thalassemia who lack a fully matched related or unrelated donor.[1][7][9][11][14]
