ATLCAR.CD30 T cells are an autologous cell therapy in which a patient's own T lymphocytes are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that specifically targets the CD30 antigen. The modified CAR enables these T cells to recognize and kill cancer cells expressing CD30, a marker found on certain types of lymphoma including Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma (such as peripheral T-cell lymphoma), and some germ cell tumors. The process involves collecting the patient’s blood via apheresis, isolating and modifying their T-cells in the laboratory to express anti-CD30 CARs, expanding them ex vivo, and then infusing them back into the patient after lymphodepleting chemotherapy. This approach combines antibody specificity with cellular cytotoxicity for enhanced antitumor activity[2][3][4][5][7]. Clinical trials have shown promising safety and efficacy profiles for relapsed or refractory cases of these malignancies.
