ATLX-2847 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by Alchemab Therapeutics for the treatment of muscle atrophy. It functions as an enzyme inhibitor targeting 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (PGDH), the primary enzyme responsible for the degradation of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). PGE2 is a critical signaling molecule that promotes muscle stem cell function and tissue regeneration. By inhibiting PGDH, ATLX-2847 aims to increase local levels of PGE2, thereby supporting muscle repair and counteracting atrophy. Alchemab Therapeutics has targeted the second half of 2026 for an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing for this program.
