Overview
Atobaiox is an oral small molecule formulation of atomoxetine, developed and manufactured by the Iranian pharmaceutical company Bakhtar Bioshimi. It functions as a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) by targeting the norepinephrine transporter (NET). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As a non-stimulant medication, it provides an alternative to traditional stimulant therapies by increasing synaptic levels of norepinephrine in the prefrontal cortex, thereby improving attention and reducing impulsivity and hyperactivity.
