Atoltivimab is a recombinant human IgG1κ monoclonal antibody that targets the glycoprotein on the surface of Zaire ebolavirus. It is used in combination with two other monoclonal antibodies, maftivimab and odesivimab, for the treatment of infection caused by Zaire ebolavirus in adult and pediatric patients, including neonates born to mothers who are RT-PCR positive for Zaire ebolavirus infection. Atoltivimab binds to a specific epitope on the viral glycoprotein, blocking viral attachment and entry into host cells. When combined with maftivimab and odesivimab (as part of the drug product Inmazeb), these antibodies bind simultaneously to three different sites on the Ebola virus glycoprotein, providing potent neutralization and preventing cell infection[2][6][7]. The combination also facilitates antibody-dependent cell-mediated killing of infected cells[2]. Atoltivimab was developed by Regeneron.
