This is a combination of three pharmacological agents: atomoxetine, methylphenidate, and valproic acid/valproate. Atomoxetine is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor primarily used for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Methylphenidate is a central nervous system stimulant that blocks the reuptake of dopamine and norepinephrine, also indicated for ADHD. Valproic acid/valproate is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer commonly used in epilepsy and bipolar disorder. There are no approved pharmaceutical products combining all three agents into a single formulation; however, their combined use has been studied in preclinical models to assess effects on neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder induced by prenatal exposure to valproic acid[1][2]. In clinical practice, combinations of stimulants with non-stimulants like atomoxetine are sometimes used off-label for refractory ADHD[4][5].
