Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Atorvastatin + irbesartan** is an oral fixed-dose combination of two small molecules marketed in South Korea as **Rovelito**. It combines atorvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, with irbesartan, a selective angiotensin II type 1 receptor antagonist that lowers blood pressure. Developed by Hanmi Pharmaceutical for patients with concomitant hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, the combination was evaluated in Phase III and Phase IV studies and is intended to simplify treatment of these coexisting cardiovascular risk factors.
