Overview

ATP-R13 is a patented, optimized recombinant protein derived from a protein secreted by *Helicobacter pylori*, developed by Atopia Therapeutics as an oral immunomodulatory therapy. It is designed to re-equilibrate the immune system and relieve inflammation and allergy symptoms irrespective of antigen specificity. The drug has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models for reducing airway hyperresponsiveness, airway remodeling, and inflammation associated with allergic asthma. Its mechanism of action involves modulation of immune responses, though the precise molecular target has not been publicly disclosed (as of June 2025). ATP-R13 is being developed as a first-line preventive and therapeutic treatment for type-II atopic diseases such as asthma, eczema (atopic dermatitis), food allergies, allergic rhinitis, anaphylaxis, and potentially other inflammatory conditions like IBD. The compound has shown excellent tolerability in animal studies with no unexpected side effects[1][3][4][5].
