Overview

This is a combination of seven different anticancer agents with distinct mechanisms of action. The combination includes: - Atrasentan: An endothelin-A receptor antagonist that inhibits cancer cell proliferation, augments chemotherapy-induced apoptosis, and suppresses angiogenesis - Carboplatin: A platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA adducts and crosslinks, interfering with DNA replication - Docetaxel: A taxane that binds to microtubules, stabilizing them and preventing depolymerization, which leads to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis - Gefitinib: An epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor - Gemcitabine: A nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis - Paclitaxel: A taxane with a mechanism similar to docetaxel - Vinorelbine: A vinca alkaloid that binds to tubulin and inhibits microtubule assembly
