Overview

Atremorine is a biopharmaceutical compound derived from a specific genetic variety of *Vicia faba* (broad bean) through a non-denaturing biotechnological process. It is designed as a natural dopamine enhancer and neuroprotective agent for the management of Parkinson's disease. The product contains high concentrations of natural L-DOPA, the precursor to dopamine, and has been shown in clinical studies to significantly increase plasma dopamine levels in both treatment-naive patients and those receiving conventional anti-Parkinsonian medications. A key feature of Atremorine is its pharmacogenetic profile; its clinical efficacy and the resulting dopamine response are significantly influenced by polymorphisms in genes encoding dopamine (SLC6A3), noradrenaline (SLC6A2), and serotonin (SLC6A4) transporters.
