Overview

**Atropine + dexamethasone** is a fixed-dose ophthalmic combination used for inflammatory anterior-eye conditions, including uveitis. Atropine is a nonselective muscarinic receptor antagonist that produces mydriasis and cycloplegia, helping relieve ciliary spasm and prevent posterior synechiae. Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that suppresses ocular inflammatory signaling through glucocorticoid receptor activation. A marketed formulation, Dexapin, contains atropine 1% and dexamethasone 0.10% as eye drops. ([1mg.com](https://www.1mg.com/drugs/dexapin-1-0.10-eye-drop-254879))
