Drug intelligence / Profile preview
aTRPV1 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Oblique Therapeutics for the treatment of pain. It targets the Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) ion channel, a key mediator of pain signaling in response to thermal and chemical stimuli. Developed using the company's proprietary Abiprot platform, aTRPV1 is designed to selectively modulate the channel's activity, potentially overcoming the clinical limitations of small-molecule TRPV1 antagonists, such as hyperthermia and impaired noxious heat sensation. The program is currently in preclinical development.
