Overview

ATTO-002 is a small-format, bispecific antibody developed using Attovia Therapeutics' proprietary Attobody platform. It functions as a ligand trap that simultaneously targets and inhibits interleukin-31 (IL-31) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), two cytokines implicated in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis and other immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. By blocking both IL-31 and IL-13 pathways, ATTO-002 aims to provide superior efficacy over single-target therapies, potentially establishing a new standard of care for atopic dermatitis by addressing non-overlapping mechanisms involved in disease pathology. The drug is designed to avoid receptor-mediated drug removal, which may enhance its potency and duration of action. As of mid-2025, ATTO-002 remains in preclinical development with plans to advance into IND-enabling studies[1][3][6][8].
