Overview

AttraX Putty is a synthetic, bioactive, and osteoconductive bone graft substitute developed by NuVasive (now Globus Medical) for use in spinal fusion procedures. It is composed of calcium phosphate granules featuring a proprietary biotextured surface microarchitecture with a specific micropore size distribution (0.3 to 1.1 microns). This engineered surface is designed to drive the osteoinduction process by promoting the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into bone-forming osteoblasts without the need for exogenous growth factors or added cells. The material is moldable, resorbs over time, and is replaced by natural bone during the healing process. It is indicated for posterolateral lumbar fusion and interbody fusions of the thoracolumbar and cervical spine.
